About Avegen

Avegen is a digital health company that helps pharmaceutical and healthcare organisations build, launch, and scale digital health products. Founded in 2015, Avegen runs HealthMachine, its patient management platform, and has shipped 20+ solutions across 12+ therapeutic areas, live in 14 countries. Avegen is building a new product line from the ground up to improve the efficiency of clinical trials.

Position Summary

Avegen is seeking a Product Manager to lead its clinical trials product line. This is a product management role first: the successful candidate will own the roadmap end to end, from strategic direction through market validation. Experience in clinical trial operations sharpens product judgment but is not the primary qualification for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for the clinical trials line, determining what is built, in what sequence, backed with evidence.
• Translate real, ambiguous, operational problems sourced from sites, sponsors, and CROs into requirements that engineering can build from directly.
• Lead the development of accelerated MVPs, prioritizing speed to a testable product over a complete one.
• Apply an agentic AI lens to product decisions, identifying where autonomous or AI-assisted workflows outperform manual processes and where they do not.
• Source and close pilot commitments with sites, sponsors, or CROs, converting early validation into material commercial proof.
• Represent Avegen's clinical trials product line externally, including briefings with industry analysts and influencers, in support of market recognition as a best-in-breed solution.

Required Qualifications

• 5 - 8 years of product management experience, with demonstrated ownership of a product roadmap end to end, from strategy through launch, in a B2B SaaS or enterprise software environment.
• Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous, real-world problems into actionable product requirements.
• Experience making prioritization decisions with incomplete information, supported by clear, evidence-based reasoning. • Working fluency with agentic AI product patterns, including where they add genuine value and where they do not.
• Experience taking a product to market, including positioning, pricing decisions, and representing the product to analysts and customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct clinical trial operations experience, or proximity to it: prior work as a Clinical Research Associate, Clinical Trial Manager, or Site Operations Lead, within a CRO or sponsor organization, or experience building a product for this sector.
• Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable regulatory frameworks, including ICH-GCP, FDA, and/or MHRA. • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or another highly regulated B2B market.
